This post is open to healthcare professionals from Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health. The post-holder will play a significant role in the development of simulation faculty in the region, and the establishment of a collaborative community of simulation practice.
The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to be funded to attend the Post-graduate “Foundations of Simulation” Module (20 Credits, level 7) (a module in the MSc Healthcare Practice Simulation Pathway).
The Role
The post holder will be required to work flexibly and effectively across organisational boundaries and demonstrate the ability to design & deliver, under direction of the Regional Simulation & Human Factors Project Lead, simulation faculty development events to ensure successful outcomes, encompassing novel solutions to evolving demands and expectations. This work will address HEE Key Performance Indicators and eventually align with National Simulation Faculty development, seeking opportunities for service-user involvement and inter-professional education. The post holder will work with the Project Lead & Regional Steering Group to drive research, collaboration, and innovation
The Person
You will be a qualified health & care professional, holding a teaching qualification, with considerable experience in the design, delivery, and evaluation of Healthcare Simulation-Based Education. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the published evidence regarding healthcare simulation-based education and human factors science, patient safety & improvement.
Desirable requirements: experience, ability and enthusiasm for novel digital collaborative and teaching platforms would also be advantageous.
