The Security Department at Canterbury Christ Church University are looking to recruit a forward thinking, experienced Assistant Security Manager (nights) for the delivery of all aspects of security at night, across the academic and residential sites in Canterbury, as well as the wider University Campus Network.
The Person
Applicants will be able to demonstrate their customer focused skills together with the ability to communicate verbally, with confidence, at all levels of the Organisation. They must be able to maintain the highest personal standards representing the front facing service of the University and to demonstrate the ability to deal with difficult and occasional stressful circumstances, in order to provide a clean, safe and secure environment for all students, staff and guests of the University.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Security, candidates will have demonstrative strong leadership skills, providing an effective and highly visible leadership to the Security team at night ensuring that robust standards of service delivery are delivered. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient allocation of staff resources and managing the recruitment, training, appraisal and performance of the team. You will be self-motivated, target driven and keen to learn and develop new or existing professional skills. Ability to direct and lead in an emergency situation is a prerequisite of the role.
