Background
Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Roman and Classical Archaeology. We are looking for an exceptional scholar to contribute to our Single and Combined Honours Archaeology Programme, provide research-informed teaching at undergraduate level, and develop our research capacity as we
approach REF2021.
The Role
The post holder will be required to contribute to the undergraduate curriculum in Archaeology and History through research-led teaching to a range of students across the Single and Combined Honours programmes. The post holder will also be expected to make a strong personal contribution to the wider research and teaching culture of the School of Humanities.
Requirements
You will have completed or be close to completion of your PhD in a related topic and have some experience of teaching in Higher Education. You will have or be able to demonstrate the potential for an outstanding research profile in Archaeology. Applications are welcomed from candidates with experience of or the ability to forge links with the heritage sector and/or commercial archaeology.
