Background
The Faculty wishes to appoint an inspirational academic to support the development and delivery of the computer and information technology programmes as part of the Kent & Medway Engineering, Design, Growth and Enterprise Hub.
The Role
The Director will
be responsible for the delivery of the programmes, including quality and standards,
student experience, curriculum innovation, course review and the line management of the academic computing staff. They will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills and make a significant contribution to the overall management of the KM EDGE Hub and the new GBP 22.8 million engineering, technology and design facilities.
The Person
The successful candidate will be expected to embrace the CDIO approach to curriculum delivery and support the academic staff to apply this learning approach. Applicants should have a track record of programme development and delivery, accreditation of programmes by professional bodies and engagement in either research or knowledge exchange activities.
This is an exciting opportunity to further develop the computing programmes at the University and to work with a wide range of partners to transform IT education in the region.
