Background
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to apply for a full-time 12-month fixed term post as a Registry Administrator. The role is based in Canterbury, and part of the Registry team in the Directorate of Planning and Academic Administration.
The role holder will carry out duties to ensure core functions across the Registry teams are delivered effectively.
This role will be part of the Partnerships Registry team
The Role
The Registry Administrator is an exciting role and will be responsible for delivering academic administration activities that support UK and international collaborative courses and also provide additional support to other Registry activities as required.
The Registry Administrator is expected to work collaboratively, with our UK and International Partners and across the Registry areas, to develop a joined-up approach to the delivery of academic administration and to support the business needs at key periods during the academic year.
Working under the instruction of a Registry Manager, key responsibilities include:
Requirements
You will be educated to GCSE standard or an equivalent qualification and will have recent administrative experience. You will need to be a good communicator and be computer literate with knowledge of MS Office. Experience of administrative support in an educational setting and with a student record system is desirable.
Organised and methodical, with a commitment to accuracy and detail, being able to produce documents to a high standard of accuracy. Able to work effectively under pressure, have the ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities and work on your own initiative. Proven interpersonal, oral and written communication skills together with a diplomatic and sensitive telephone manner are essential, as is the ability to work as a member of a team.
Although the role is based at the Canterbury campus, there may be a requirement for some travel between campuses and other venues. This role may require occasional evening and weekend working.
