Permanent Part time (20 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 16:00 – 20:00hrs)
The Role
The purpose of this post is to ensure the smooth running of the buildings such that the buildings and grounds are safe, secure, defect free, clean and tidy at all times and that teaching rooms are kept in good order throughout the day and set out to meet a variety of teaching needs. It is expected that the post holder will be capable of carrying out minor repairs, caretaking tasks, gardening tasks. The role includes a Security function, responsible for the general security of the Campus. Car park patrolling, CCTV monitoring, statutory monitoring and lock ups.
The Person
You will have a welcoming and professional approach with good customer service skills. You will be of smart appearance and willing to work as part of a team. An ability to provide proactive security cover as required. Have had experience of maintenance work or work allied to the building industry. A knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace. You will hold an SIA Door Supervisor qualification or be willing to work towards obtaining one. A Disclosure and Barring Service check will be made before appointment of the successful candidate is confirmed.
Additional Information
A flexible approach to the hours of work required. Hours for this post will be mainly 16:00hrs – 20:00hrs. Monday – Friday. Flexibility around these hours will be required at times to cover the operational requirements of the Campus.
An allowance of £900 per annum (pro rata) is added to the gross annual salary as compensation for the requirement to remain on site and available for emergencies during statutory breaks.
