The Role
We are currently seeking an Student Voice Coordinator to support the ambitions of the Students’ Union.
The Student Voice Coordinator is responsible for developing and enhancing students’ experiences by promoting both the individual and the collective student voice at Canterbury Christ Church University.
You will support and empower volunteers and Union ambassadors in representational positions which provide the student voice, particularly student programme representatives within all University Schools, Union Council elected officers, and full-time sabbatical officers. You will support student voice volunteers throughout their journey, from recruitment to election/selection all the way towards the end of mandate, with specific emphasis on key aspects of their development and empowerment, diversifying engagement in representative roles, ensuring a fair election process, a robust training programme, support and motivation throughout their mandate, and an empowering reward scheme.
The Person
You will be able to work with a variety of students, supporting and empowering them to achieve their goals. You will have an understanding of membership-led organisations and democratic procedures, experience of designing and delivering training, and excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills. You will be able to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, from students to University staff, and keep accurate records of democratic policies and student voice forums.
